Our Services
The Speech Box provides assessment and evidence-based intervention services
tailored to your needs.

Some of the key areas include:
Expressive & Receptive Language
Language difficulties can be expressive (how you use words & sentences to express yourself) and/or receptive (how you understand information you hear).
We assess language skills to determine areas of difficulty & set therapy goals.

Stuttering
Stuttering can affect a person's ability to effectively express themselves & can negatively impact their confidence.
We use evidence-based methods to correct or reduce the severity of stuttering.

Speech Sounds
Difficulty producing sounds correctly
(e.g. saying 'tar' instead of 'car') can reduce speech intelligibility.
We assess & work on correcting speech sounds using evidence-based techniques.

Play & Interaction Skills
Through play, children learn how to interact in their environment, discover their interests, and acquire speech, language, and social-emotional skills.
We implement effective strategies to facilitate language development through play. Parents are involved & supported in this process.
Social Skills
Social skills are needed in order to build meaningful relationships with others.
We work to develop conversation skills, problem-solving skills, understanding non-verbal communication, understanding emotions, & perspective-taking.

Literacy
Reading, writing, and using and understanding words correctly are the foundation for school performance.
We evaluate your child's literacy knowledge, then use evidence-based programs to support the development of reading and writing skills.
